Professor Ojo S.I. Fayomi, MNSE, RCOREN, AMWISA, is an international rated engineer, professor of mechanical metallurgy, public speaker, author, and research consultant, with expertise in production, materials and engineering management. In 2021, Professor Fayomi was appointed to the rank of Full Professor of mechanical metallurgy at Bells University of Technology, Ota, Nigeria at the age of 36 years, becoming one of the youngest full professors of Engineering in Nigeria. Prof Ojo S.I. Fayomi is an established proven academia and highly rated researcher. He is referred to be the youngest serving Dean, in the College of Engineering in Nigeria history at 37 years.

Prof Ojo Sunday Fayomi is a prolific teacher and researcher who have taught and massively contributed to the advancement of new materials development in several part of the world. He is a visiting scholar to several universities locally and internationally. He is a visiting research director at Surface Engineering Research Centre, South Africa, Adjunct Professor in the department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology; Pretoria, South Africa where he trained and mentored over 150 training students. Professor Fayomi has published several prominent journal articles and books on materials development and characterization, composite and nanomaterial’s processing on new materials for multifaceted application, biowastes, corrosion and engineering management. He has been an expert speaker at several international conferences on all aspect of research nitty-gritty, media commentator on new age research and integration engineering.

Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi has to his credit over (500) indexed international and local peer-reviewed journals with substantial impact factors, broad readership, and citations in Scopus and Web of Science. Professor Fayomi is an External Examiner to several Nigerian universities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and some foreign universities, among others, is the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi has supervised over 150 international research/industrial projects, graduated 10 Ph.D and 16 Master's degree students apart from the on-going postgraduate supervision.

Prof Ojo Sunday Fayomi is a sought-after expert public speaker and lecturer to many industries, universities, and institutes. Prof Fayomi is known to be a reviewer to the highly-rated scientific journal and conference publisher in the related field such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, and others. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is also an examiner to the National Research Foundation, South Africa, Portugal, and Formal Technical Chair of one of the most soughed largest researcher conference gathering in Africa, “ICESW”. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is a Co-chairman of Standards and dredgers with the Standard Organisation of Nigeria. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is a member of several engineering bodies such as Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigerian (COREN), Member Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Registered Academic Member Water Institute of Southern Africa (AMWISA), Member Nigeria Metallurgical Society (NMS), and Member Nigeria Association of Technologist in Engineering.

Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is an achieved researcher and lecturer, who have harvested several awards internationally. Among others is the Scientific Achievement by South African Association for Advancement in Science Medal Award (A2S3 Medal for Original Research). Fayomi is a Postdoc Research Scholar and an Awardee of the Institutional Best Postdoctoral fellow for Teaching and Innovations at Tshwane University of Technology. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi also emerged as the best doctoral degree award student at Tshwane University of Technology. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is well-reputed nationally and internationally in the areas of Mechanical Materials Mechanics. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi was named the Outstanding African Researcher, 2019, and the Most Innovative Scholar in Composite deposition. According to the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 rating of researchers globally by Elsevier Scopus (Scival), Professor Fayomi was ranked the number one (1) researcher globally by Scopus output in Composite, Electrodeposition of Materials. Ranked the number one (1) researcher in Nigeria 2019, 2020 in Materials Science and Engineering, he is ranked number 3 top published author in Nigerian in accredited Journal by Elsevier Scopus. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi has a patent to his credit with the South Africa Ministry of Education and Cooperates affair.

Prof Ojo S.I. Fayomi is a passionate, purpose-driven, self-motivated, and result-oriented natural leader. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi is a multi-talented person, perfectionist, and president of Ignite World- an organization founded by him to help the needy, youth, and family discover self. Prof Ojo Sunday Fayomi is the founder of a monthly publication called DISCOVERY, a network of vibrant conference and inspiration presentations. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi has published many weekly motivational and transformational materials through hard work, commitment, and dedication to the vision. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi has trained hundreds to thousands of people through Ignite world motivational summit, seminars, workshops and conferences. Professor Ojo Sunday Fayomi presently serves mentors to several people in Nigeria and around the world.
